I just got some glow lights for Christmas. I was planning on putting them up underneath my dash so that they illuminate the floor at night. My question is how can I get them to turn on when I turn the headlights on. This light has a cigarette lighter plug but I will probably cut that off because I’m not going to plug it into the cigarette lighter because that would be dumb. So where could I wire these in to turn on with the headlights.

 

Is there a light around your cigarette lighter? if not then you could also tap off of the interior lights under the dash.

 

I have an 87 IROC so no I don't have a light around the cigarette lighter. Do you know if there is an open connection in the fuse box that I could hook up to? That way I could use a relay so that they lights would turn on when the headlights do.

 

Not sure if this would work but it'd be cool if you tapped off the guage backlight wire and the neons dimmed as the guage backlights dimmed.
