headlight woes, please assist

I took off my headlight control module from the firewall, and cracked the seal. I noted one of the fuseable links was melted. I ran a new length of solder in place.

Before I had no power to either headlight motor, after the "repair" the right headlight now rises and lowers, but the left still has no power. I figure I just need to go find a new headlight control module, but my major question is this: the right headlight that now rises and lowers, the motor continues to spin after it drops or rises. Is this another proplem that needs to be addressed by a rebuild of the motor internals, or is it the module too?

Thanks

Thanks for the info, the headlights hadn't worked since I bought the car. I got 2 motors, hooked em up, and then expected SOMETHING, but there was no change. I went to the bone yard today, and got 2 headlight motor modules. They fixed one side, and the other side tries to raise now. So I figure rebuild both motors, and I will have no more trouble. I have an extra headlight module now don't know if I should put it on ebay or save it for later.
