HEI distributor questions

I have a GM performance HEI with a 50,000 volt coil. do i need to wire this so anything else, like say, an MSD blaster 2? or do i just wire it up to my ignition switch and to the battery? I have no idea what to do.

I always had a HEI in mine, so I just reused the old harness there are two small (2wire?) connectors and one big (4wire?) plugs that go into my distributor.

From the depths of my memory, I believe there would be an ECM connector if you haven't pulled the ECM yet, a wire connecting the cap to the distributor, a tach cable, and the power source cable.

With an aftermarket or performance ignition, you would do well to purchase a good quality distributor harness, since you can't take advantage of a good coil without good wiring.

DUDE!!!! YOU HAVE MY CAR!!!!! SWEET!!! ok, I'm better now. I found one two-wire connectr that looks like it's the one I need for the tach. there's on cable going from the distributor to the cap, and then a plug that (I assume) is for the connector to the tach. I guess i just need to find where to get power?? since it IS an aftermarket (sorta) HEI, where do i get the harness to wire it up? I'm ditching the ecm, so all i need is a power source and a tach.
