what would this be??
there is something in the interior of my car that i am not sure as to what it is, it is located on the underside of my dash on the driverside sorta below the gauges it looks like a plug for a computer or a chip or something of the sort but i am not sure what it is, any help as to what this may be would be great, thanx

sounds like the ALDL or Assembly Line Diagnostis Link. it should have 12 pins, not necessarly full of terminals. A & B can be jumped to get codes from the computer through the SES (service engine soon) light.
