My car threw a check engine light when i hit a bump and it sputtered a little then went away but then it idled way lower like between 5-700rpm , for some reason i read to connect the 5 and 6 pin on the ALDL connector but it doesnt show any codes or flash or anything. am i doing something wrong? its an 85 z-28, i just swapped in a 406 but used the same sensors and everything, even the same Q-jet. the car used to idle at like 900 now it wants to stall out. hopefully someone can help me out on this.
