Hi -I have a pre-airbag firebird but recently bought a later-model steering wheel (as I prefer them) with airbag. The airbag appears to be in good condition, no evidence of damage; none of the rivets at the back of the airbag have been tampered with.

But, now I've got it, I'm worried that it could accidentally go off. I have no intentions of trying to wire it up, but I've read online that they can still accidentally go off.

Would like to install it but not sure what to do now?? -any ideas from anyone?

 

One of the wires is for a power source and the other is for a ground. Just make sure the wires dont have the posiblilty of getting either.
