Been searching a while and I see the wires I have a question about mentioned in reference to color, but not what they are for... so here goes... What are the white/black wire and the orange wire for on the automatic shifter? I've installed the B&M Megashifter and used a standard 87a 12V relay to power the start up circuit, but ran out of female spades to connect the two wires in question. The reverse lights work fine and the car starts and runs fine... What is sitting disabled without that circuit completed when in neutral???

 

Nobody knows what those two wires are?

 

off the top of my head:

theres the starter wires (two big ones)

backup lights.

park/nutural ECM wires.... these are the ones that tell the ECM that you're in park or nutural. if you arnt adding a P/N switch, leave disconnected.


i just have them disconnected taped off to the side... i swapped to a manual (still have the auto ECM/prom stuff) so i make it think its in gear all the time.
