in need of wiring diagram
in need of wiring diagram
I need a wiring diagram of the cooling system/fan setup. I need to put a switch on my fan because it doesnt like to run all the time when it needs to. I was driving yesterday and the fan was not on in traffic and my car ran to about 240-250 degrees, i had to keep shutting it off to try to cool it down. if anyone has a diagram of this for me please let me know.

Look down on the passenger side front frame rail, see the AC aluminum line from condensor? Small switch on this. This switch may be normal open or closed. Connect the two wires to a dash switch and you can control fan or fans using factory relays, if they are working.

just for future refrence, while your preventing some damage by running the engine while its that hot, shutting your engine down for short periods of time only makes the engine hotter.. you stop all flow of water through the engine
you may notice when you park your car while the temp is right at its normal spot, and come back like 10 mins later its actually hotter..
anyways that wire runs all the way up to a relay right near the brake booster, tap into that wire to the switch, and run the other side of the switch to a ground.. i believe the wire is green with a black stripe
i dunno im feeling lazy right now, do a search, theres a million posts on this subject
