Tell tale signs of bad ECM?

Well my car is running mighty rough right now. Shes running extremly rich, there is already a significant amount of carbon deposits on my 2 week old tail pipe. My check engine light does not come on apon start up, nor can I pull codes from it. The car rins the same if whether the ECM in connected or not. Does this sound like a bad ECM to you guys? or maybe I just have a bad ground/power wire for the ECM, any help would be appreciated.

Hello Manofsorrow,

Here is a troubleshooting that might help you find your problem. It is out of an 89 GM service manual but should give you and idea of where to look.
