Am I missing something here?
I recently replaced my turn signal switch inside my steering column. I also planned on replacing my turn signal lever as well. The previous owner had simply cut the wires on the old one and taped them in for a new switch. My new switch arrived today and there's no way the wire on it is long enough to go through the column. My long winded question: is there a wire that goes between the turn signal stalk wire and the plug under the dash? Because there's no way the stalk wire will make it.
Thanks guys

Are you referring to the wire on the multifunction lever? It should be about 2' long roughly and plug into the cruise control cable under the dash. If it doesn't reach, you have the wrong part.

yea, for an 88 the wires should be about 18 inches long, if it were a 90 or newer, they are about 4 inches long and connect to a plug inside the column

Thanks Trickster and Dave Y. I kinda figured that may be the case, but this car has been hacked and taped and spliced so much by the previous owner, it's tough to know what I'm dealing with.
