Electronics Need help wiring something up? Thinking of adding an electrical component to your car? Need help troubleshooting that wiring glitch?

Anyone with an Autometer Electric speedo help me.

Anyone with an Autometer Electric speedo help me.

HEy guys im goin to be gettin an electric speedo to my car from Autometer and i know i have to get there sending unit but how does it hook up and is it a PITA to install? i just wanna know what im goin to be settin myself up for in the next month or so. thanx

Nothin to it. The Autometer VSS has 2 wires....one runs to the back of the speedo and the other is grounded to the chassis. The speedo itself just has power, ground, and the VSS wire, and 2 wires for the light.

I don't know. I used the stock VSS in my T56 to drive the Autometer speedo....the wiring is the same for either. It should just screw on to the stock cable hookup, and it has a place for the stock cable to hook to also if you have and want to keep cruise control.

okay kool, i hope it just screws in like you say. i also dont have cruise control so no problem there.
