Where's my SES light?

no, not where in the guages, but where'd it go? I was having an SES light for a long time, everything was good to go. Suddenly my car wasn't running as a result of a faulty ignition module, fixed the problem, but before i fixed it, i did a 4th gen dash swap. The issue is i don't have an SES light, although all the wiring is hooked up correctly, and if anything wasn't working, i'd expect the SES light to not be one of those things.

Heres' what's happening, if i jump A&B connectors on the ALDL port, the fan will kick on and the car will enter diagnostic mode, however the SES light won't come on. If i put a code scanner into the port (the crappy one with the light bulb on it) the bulb won't come on either, yet it's still in diagnostic mode, just no bulbs. I'm really needing to get that stupid light to come on so i can finish tuning the car, does anyone know why i'm not getting a light? brainstorming is more than welcome. .... right now i'm thinking that my ECM is crapped out, for reference- a hot wire touched the ECM at a time when the battery was connected, big spark, nothing more. Thinking that might be the issue, but haven't bought the stupid computer yet.

I REALLY DO NEED HELP HERE, AS I NEED TO DRIVE THIS CAR IN A MONTH OR LESS, AND MUST!!! FIND A CURE FOR IT'S PROBLEMS.

Thanks in advance.

nevermind, although ithought the wiring was all good, i had somehow screwed up my brown wires, or mis-read a diagram or even a schematic i printed from this site....neway, i now have two brown wires (VSS setup) and one brown and white wire (SES) works, checked and had a code 12...all's quiet on the western front.
