Light switch

I'm trying to replace the dash part that is the black cover fot the light switch. I'm addding a new cover with another switch below the light switch, for an extra control on a secondary lighting system. How do I get the **** off of the light switch with out tearing it up?? It doesn't seem to want to just pull off or even screw off...how does it come off?? Cocacolakidd

You have to get to the switch from the bottom. There's a small button on the switch itself that you push to release the ****/shaft so you can pull it out.
