3rd gen foglight switch to 4th gen foglight switch??

mine only has 3 wires (88 model iroc) and the one from the 99 dash has 5.
3 of the wires are the same color as my factory one (black, purple, grey)
there is a yellow wire and a light green wire that i am unsure of.
i am leary to hook it up without knowing exactly whats going on. can anyone help?
thanks

i found a schematic and found that the green and yellow wires must be part of the DRL option in the newer cars. im scared of blowing something up.

if i leave those 2 wires capped off and just wire up color to color on the 3 wires you think it will work? melting wires scare me, LOL

ask Nick Silver. i dont know if he is on this board or not, i am pretty sure he is. but to be sure, go to IROCZone.com and look up user nick silver. ask him, he has a 4th gen dash in his 90 IROC.
