Wiper motion
a few months ago I swapped out my wiper motor with a "new" motor I bought on ebay. after I installed that, I found myself sans delay. so today I decided to put my old motor back in. everything seemed to go fin, but my wipers don't have full motion. they swing up maybe twenty degrees then drop back down. I'm 90% sure that this is because the crank that attaches to the motor's drive shaft needs to rotat to some degree. I've tried pusing down on the linkage to get it to rotate, but it's to solid to do anything other than stratch my hand. can anyone turn on their wipers and tell me what the motion looks like?
The short crank arm on the back of the wiper motor should make a complete, continuous, 360° rotation until the wiper motor is turned off and the arms are parked. It sounds like the PARK switch in the wiper motor may have a problem.

super.
as it turns out there's basically two movements going on and I was only getting one motion. I pulled the old wiper motor and replaced the new one. I even thought I had the whole delay/washer pump thing sorted out. Turns out there's a faulty connection in that (think it's seven pin) connector. Now I just have to find time to go on a grand tour of south west michigan's junkyards. Huzzah. I might get lucky and find the dashboard wiring harness I've been looking for too, but that would be to easy.
the idea of buying a used part to replace a...used part doesn't sit well with me though, what's to say I'm not going to have the same problems.
