help

So i just switched to a carb on my 89 iroc. I totally remove the ecm and now have the problem of no key start. I have never had a chip in my key since i have owned the car. I totally removed the wires not needed. everything works but the key wont turn the starter. i used a remote started and got it all fired up. But what should i mess with? I pulled the wire block off the fire wall that goes in the car and tuched the purple wire from the starter to the red wire right above it and the starter cranked. kinda weird and that red wire at the top right of the wire block is the only wire that im not sure what to do with. any help?

Try removing the starter enable relay under the left kick panel and removing pins "A" & "E" from the connector and splicing them together.
