Ok I searched, 2 to 1 wire alt.
I searched and dident find anything usefull in the first couple pages so.
I'm wanting to use a 92 alt with single wire plug to replace a old style 2 wire unit lets say 82
. What do I need to wire to make this happen? I do know some newer ones still use a 2 wire plug on the same looking alternator? Hmm for some reason I cant seem to write what I'm meaning to say.

What 92 vehicle are you getting this alternator that only has one wire from? And are you planning on putting it in a 82 firebird? Please rephrase your post so it will be a little clearer what you are looking for.

I think I figured it out. I think it will be ok installing the field wire to the top plug and double the battery and sensing wires togather at the back of the alternator. Or I should just dig up a plug-in with 2 connections.
