My headlights got stuck on bright the other day... I just kept pulling the lever until it finally switched back... man I was relieved... I'm not gonna use them anymore, since they really don't accomplish much, cept taking down helicopters.
Is it the same for you? It seems in my case that the lever is attached to a headlight bright switch, and that switch has become loose from the mount, and only works when it hits up against the mounting just right....

you probably dont need a new switch. over time they work themselves loose and the connecting rod that switches it from the lever on the steering column has too much slack to "click" it. trace the connecting rod to the switch and you'll see it. I think theres a 10mm nut that you loosen and slide the switch up or down to reduce the slack. It is a little hard to get to but you shouldnt have to take anything out except the lower plastic cover.
if you have a tilt steering wheel, sometimes you can tilt the wheel all the way down and it will take enough slack out to work the switch, in case you need a quick fix.

Thanks for the advice, I tried lookin in there when the lights got stuck, but it was hard to see... I will look again so I can tighten up that nut, thanks.
