msd location

I tried something a little bit different. I may get attacked for doing it this way, and it was no picnic putting it here, but here goes. I put it below the air boxes in front of the radiator. It's just behind that weird support that holds up the area where the hood latch is. I attached it to one of those L-brackets that you can buy from Summit. I attached the small part to a piece of wood on the bumper bar. You can only see it if you look in the latch hole. It will fit, but it's tight. Also, the one I put in is a 6AL-BTM because I have a Vortech. This one is about 1/2 inch wider than a regular 6AL, so if yours is a regular one, you'll have even more space. I figured that this would be the coolest place to put it and be outside the cockpit. Mounting one of these things under the hood is popular, but MSD instructs buyers to be mindful of underhood heat. So, in my paranoid mind, I figured I'd just take my time, and try to find the best possible place. I hope this helps you.
