Locking out HEI
I was just wondering if anyone could give me some insight into locking out the vaccum advance on HEI.
So far as I understand it, when I set my timing, that is the max it can go to... So say I would set it at 35* total for example with the light, rather than just the 12 I would put in at idle.
My car doesn't see much other than wide open blasts down the drag strip, so being able to have all that timing RIGHT NOW rather than waiting for the vaccum advance to take care of things should help correct?
Street manners mean nothing to me, I know the motor is very mild, but i'm just trying to squeeze every bit of power out of it
Please help me out on this. Thanks!
