V6 verses V8 Tach

I have a 91 v8 camaro that the tach and gauges don't read correctly and I have a 91 v6 camaro that is a parts car. Iwas wondering if the gauges out of the v6 car will work right on the v8 car?

TIA

I don't think so. I believe the calibration R/C network is right on the rear of the tach itself.

That's definitely the case with Firebirds. I was going to swap my '83 V6 Tach for a V8 Tach out of an 86, but upon taking the gauges out, I found they changed everything in those 3 years. They both had the calibration R/C network on the back, but they had different style mounts and connections. So I bought a V8 tach out of an '83 instead of reinventing the wheel.
