wires cut on harness near battery- where do they go?
The picture shows the hack job done on my wiring harness by a previous owner. What is the small wire attached to the +ve battery wire for? Is there a fusable link in that bulging section of the wire or something? Basically, I'd like to know how these wires were originally routed. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The bulging section in the wire is indeed a fusible link. The smaller wires are also connected to fusible links and in-line fuses with one going to the ECM, I don't know what your VIN code is so I can't be more specific about it at the moment.

ah The Trickster, just the guy to find the wiring diagram I need! The harness is for a 1988 L98 engine from a firebird. I think that'll give you the info you need. Unfortunately, the only service manual I have is for 1984 so it doesn't show me what I need.
