MAF-Relais

Hallo to everybody !
Does anybody know how much Amps the MAF-Power-Relais and the MAF-Burnoff-Relais should be rated ? I have to get European-Style ones .
Thanks, Uwe

The MAF power and burnoff relays are the same as the fan relays. They are around a 20-25 amp contact current rating, coil is 12 volts. The MAF does not need that sort of current, in fact that is why they are troublesome because the MAF circuit draws less than 5 amps or so and the relay contacts won't clean themselves. Relays when operated near thier rated current rating will self clean, so to speak. A decent 10 amp auto relay should be fine, remember there is a resistor across the relay coil on the factory ones, 10K ohm I think-I can check if you want. The resistor helps to eliminate spikes to the ECM driver when it turns on and off.

Thank you, for your reply. I have a double-relay ( 2 relays in the same housing, 2 coils inside ) I want to use. It is rated for 10 Amps. Will it be okay ? - Can I mount it inside my ECM-Housing, cause there is a lot of unused space ?
Thanks, Uwe

No reason at all where you mount it as long as it is wired correctly.
