What is this thing under my hatch???
I have a 86 Z28 and under my hatch on the left of the pull down motor there is some electrical connector with four connections in the overall shape of a rectangular thing. What is it for?? Also could some one send me a hatch motor schematic please? My email is markkuether@yahoo.com.
Thanks

Nope. It is the connector pad for the HMSL (high mount stop light) or rear wiper (depending on the year of your car). On early years 1982-85 it was used to power the optional rear wiper motor. 1986-90 it was used for the HMSL.
