Power Door Locks aren't locking...
Since like, 1996 the locks on my '89 Formula do not lock with the button. They will unlock with the button, but when u hit the lock button they do a half arsed attempt to lock, but they don't. Heres my questions, what is causing this, and what could i do to fix the problem?
thanks, Derek

A couple of things could be causing this. A weak relay, bent or binding control rods, a weak or dirty solenoid in the door panel.
My problem with them was control rods that were dirty and bent slightly.

Thanks for the info Trickster. If my problem just so happens to be the relay, could you tell me where i could find it?

ON your car you should find it behind the left kick panel below the hood release lever. On most cars it will have a gob of black insulating adhesive stuck over it. It grounds to the car frame on some models.
