Headlight and Speedometer

Well my 83 camaro had a headlight that didn't work, so I thought all it need to be was replaced. I replace it and it's still acting up, the light works normally but when I turn on the brights the outer driver side light doesn't turn on. I'm thinking it's a circuit problem, does anyone know how to fix this?

Another thing is my speedometer, my car recently got a new motor in it ( 5.7L Chevy 350ci V8 1979ish.. ) anyways, it's totally off, I'm pulling out of my drive way to go for a spin and it says I'm going 100, so if anyone could help me on that, thanks!

With the Head lights, it's most likely a wiring problem. The headlights have three wires going to them. One for regular lights, one for brights and one for ground. Check the harness connector attached to the lights.
As for the Speedometer. I have no esperience in that aspect, but I do know that the sensor is in the transmission. Also if the cluster guage was taken offa t any time the needle for the speedo could have been moved into a different position.
