Dim headlights

My headlights are extremely dim. It's not the bulbs, I just stuck brand new Sylvania bulbs on. The new bulbs are brighter than the old ones, but it's still hard to see in the dark with the low beams. With the high beams, it's fine. I thought maybe they were misaligned, so I realigned them. It only helped a little. The contacts on the pigtail are clean. I'm out of ideas and it's getting annoying driving at night.

Since you have checked the pigtails for the lights, have you checked the grounding points for the lights also? That is what is probably causing your dim lights. The grounding points are located behind each headlight.

Thanks, Trickster! No, I haven't checked that. I'll take a look after work tomorrow.
