I'm gonna blow up my car!!!!!!!

i need to kill my alarm system......

a few years ago i had installed a python b/s system with kill switch.

now i can not get the car started!!!!!

we've traced everything back to the alarm
pulled the brain out reset the batt.
but still nothing

we ended up having to start it right from the starter

we've never played with any of these new alarm systems b/4 so don't really know anything about them and how they work

when we killed the brain shouldn't that have killed all effects or would the kill stay in effect b/c it was allready activated

the shop that installed it will not be open untill tuesday so thats out

please give me some ideas guy's fast i've got to get this car back on the road asap......

Check the starter kill relay. If you have removed it from the harness it won't even turn over (I assume this is the problem your having). If the relay is ok cut the ground when armed wire (should be orange). If you have already removed the alarm brain then you problem is with the relay from the starter. Make sure that wire is not grounded anyplace else, if it does the relay will be activated and you will not beable to start the car.

The last three alarm systems I've seen in cars have a wire spliced into the big yellow wire on the steering column. This is part of the starter kill as well you may want to check there and if it is spliced into the alarm, connect it back together.

This post answered my question. I have one similar on the car I recently purchased and I hate the dang thing. Now I know for sure that it is getting removed.

With these DEI alarms you should be able to just unplug the alarm module to bypass everything.
