brake light switch, easy question

I am completely rewiring my car. I tossed out the old int wiring harness (behind the dash) b/c it was pretty hacked up and junk. I got another full harness from a car in the junkyard. the harness is very complete except for the wires for the brake light switch that is mounted on the pedals. the orange wire I got figured out pretty quickly BUT where does the white wire go??? I looked very hard to find a cut white wire somewhere on the harness and I can not find one cut at all. this is my last wire to hook up. the wiring harness out of an 82-84 car for sure. haynes maual sya the switch should have a lt blue wire and an orange wire but that manual is def wrong, I even looked on my daily driver 82 Firebird and that brake light switch has an orange and white wires unlike what the Haynes book says. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANYONES HELP.

Yes it is in the steering column but the part that you will be looking for is a connector for it that is mounted on the right side of the steering column under the dash. It is known as connector C210.

Trickster thanks alot for your help, I really appreciate it. today after work I took my dash apart again (loosley bolted to the firewall) so I could get a better view of everything. I looked on the right side of the column and there were 3 plugs total, 2 into the column itself and the other plugged into another plug that hung from the column.that plug that hung from the column had a cut white wire but was pretty short, I did make it work and soldered it to the brake light harness. I have not had the chance to test it out yet b/c I still have one more harness to install under the hood and reroute the battery to the rear but I am sure things are 100% now. how do you tell the name of the harness though, it did not say C210 anywhere on it, I assume it must be on a schematic. THANKS AGAIN!!

Yes, the name of the connector is on the schematic and having it does come in handy at times.
