The V6 tach wont work with V8's.

The oil pressure gauge should work. This is the separate gauge with the coolant temperature gauge, right?

The highest factory tach for V8 firebirds goes to 8000 RPM.

I stumbled upon a post a while back on a solution to make a v6 tach work for a v8. You have to change out a capictor, try searching for 'tach fixed' and you should come up with it. I haven't tried it myself because I'm going to get the engine running first, but I have the materials.

Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
If the Firebird tach has the 6000 rpm reading at 12 o'clock, you can swap the face for one that has the 4500 rpm reading at 12 o'clock. This will limit you to showing a 5000 rpm redline, but it will read correctly throughout the entire range.
Some of the V8 tach faces (the L98 for one) had the 6k mark at 12 o'clock.
