wires for the tach

I replaced my 305tbi for a 350 carb. I used a mallory unilite distributor and a msd box. my prob is my tach is fine at idle(i beleive) but when I start to get into it, it seems to go up faster than the motor. I think this is because of the msd but I don't know how to fix it. I have the ballast resistor but I don't know which wire is the one for the tach.

so basically I am asking what wire color is for the tach in my 89 camaro? thanks

the tach signal comes from how many times per/min the #1 cyl is fired, because an msd box fires up to 4 times in one cycle your tach will not function, I sugest contacting MSD to see if they have a remedy for this
