Auto-Down Window Parts
I'm interested in doing the Auto-Down conversion to my Firebird. I've read all of the posts, but it seems they are outdated. I'm looking to also convert my console to a 4th gen, so I'm gonna need all new switches. If somebody could double check these parts to make sure I order the right stuff before I actually order it. These would be all of the parts to make the install as clean as possible, and have two "Auto" switches.
http://GMPartsDirect.com part numbers
Switch Assemblies- 1040-2838
Auto Modules- 1218-2126
Module Harness-12117399
I'm sure they probably sell the "Auto" switch seperately, but I wasn't sure what the part number was. I also think my current switches have horrible contacts, and I have no way of dismantling them to clean. The Auto Module in GMPartsDirect says that its application is a 94-95 Buick? The part numbers were found at the tutorial web site, http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/expresswindow.htm If the info works out, I think it could be a decent sticky, or recompiled into one.
