ESC upgrade, is it necessary?

I did a search and found nothing useful. I am just trying to find out of the 305 knock sensor and esc measure differently then the 350, or what other reason there would be to switch them. Is it just the ESC that needs to be changed or both or neither. I guess I am just trying to find out from a performance aspect is it worth or necessary to change. I have the stock 305 sensor and esc and I am now running it in a 383 tpi setup. I am not completely done with the ecm programming but I figured I should find out about this before I get too far along. Thanks

this is all using 87 305 tpi w/maf parts

You Have to change the knock sensor. The 305 and 350 sensors are different.
