Light help please

Hi all

I just purchased a set of power headlight motors for my 84 t/a the ones i have now are fine but could go out so i got these as backups.

My question is, will these motors which came out of a 85 firebird go into my 84 t/a?

reason i ask is that we tried hooking them up and my friend said that my t/a's lights were directly connected. i have no idea what that meant so I am hoping these motors will fit my car
=)

And one more thing
Everything in my car works except one part. When i put on the high beams they click and come on but the blue indicator on the little display thing doesn't come on at all. What can i do to fix this?

any and all help is GREATLY appreciated
thanks

First thing, by directly connected he probably means they are hard wired, I am sure they will work but you will probably have to splice some wires. Second, if the blue high beam light does not work remove your speedo and replace the bulb, good luck.
