radiator fan

i have an 88 trans am with the 5.0 l v8 (F) and it seems that the fan kicks on at a certain temp. and it is running pretty hot, so i was wondering how i could get the fan to kick on earlier, even though it is a HO engine, i still think its running a little hot, and what is the best running temp for this?

JRance

sorry, this should go in cooling! my bad

You have a couple options. You can reprogram the ECM with lower fan temperatures, or you can install a parallel fan switch to control the cooling fan realy at a different temperature. I did both.
