what dose the computer control
i no longer have a cc carb or a cc distributor can i get rid of the big box and all the wiring that is in the passenger side dash or dose that computer control the gauges in the dash

Gauges are controlled via the sending units in the block.
ECM controlled the timing, emissions crap, something else to do with the carb and converter lockup.
With the primary pieces missing (carb. and dist.), the lockup probably doesn't work anymore either. Not sure about that one though.
