Bypassing Power Steering cutout switch - how

Hey guys, I am wiring up a 1983 CCC Qjeted 305 in a previously 6 cyl car. Some of the wiring interchanges, a lot of it does not. I also used a 1987 longblock and some of its parts so I have a power steering pressure line with no pressure switch in it. To bypass the cutout, I read on this board that you short the two connectors from the PS cutout plug together. I just want to verify that this is correct to bypass the cutout. I know the engine won't stall turning lock to lock with the AC on because this car has the slow ratio power steering gear
