Engine: 305
Transmission: auto with o/d
fire and fuel no start

i have a 91 firebird 305tbi has fire and fuel but wont start after i have changed timing chain and gears.dist cap,rotor,wires, plugs, 02 senser, temp senser,fuel filter,tryed to set timing but wont start.

if u have spark and fueling, its a timing issue.

Engine: L98, LB9 RESPECTIVLY
Transmission: 700 R4 (BOTH)
Turn your motor over by hand untill the timing mark lines up with zero then check the rotor, if it is not pointing at the #1 tower turn it so it is.

also, i hear when you do your timing, you have to disconnect the timing advance to the ECM or else its going to be WAY off. Not sure where that is, but might be something to keep in mind.

the piece that you have to disconnect is the spout. it brings the engine to base timing. What dist. do you have on the car? is it a vacuum advanced older style one or is it the factory computerized one.

sry for not replying sooner,we found the problem in the coil itself ,misfiring got new coil started up but rough need to set timing now
