infl light?
I have a freind that has a 92 camaro 3.1 that will not start. the idiot lights come up but nothing else seems to work. he said the infl light stays lit. is this the airbag system? would this keep the car form starting?
the car will not try to turn over, fuel pump isn't priming, just the idiot lights. any ideas???

Yes it is the airbag light and no it won't prevent the car from starting .

I dont think ground because the idiot lights are coming up. I dont think starter relay because no fuel pump priming.
I am kinda lacking for ideas.

your problem is most likely your VATS if your key has a chip (resistor) on it then that is your friends problem you need to replace the key cylinder or cut the wire from the key cylinder and on the wire going to the computer solder a 10ohm resistor and it should work
