whats this?

I have been working on cleaning up some wiring from a car alarm that was non functional. What is this? I am pretty sure its the Horn relay, but just want to be sure.

Anyone? Had wiring running to the horn, maybe its not even a stock item (if so, that pos is goin buh bye)

I have never seen anything like that. I can tell you it is not a horn relay though.

Yeah, did some more reading and found out the convenience center is under the dash.

Anyone have any thoughts on what it is?

The more I think about it, the chincy corroded metal on it makes me think it had something to do with the car alarm, maybe the component that makes the annoying loud whirring noises that alarms make? no idea.

That is definitely not an original stock item and as mentioned, it appears that it was a component of an aftermarket alarm system that is obviously no longer functional.

Awesome, thats really all I needed to know.

Now I can **** can it and figure out what wires I need to rerun from the convenience center to the horn. There is a yellow and a Brown wire going to the horn, probably both run back to the convenience center. Will need to look at my wiring diagram.
