Remote Mount starter selenoid install
Can someone show me some pics of the remote mount selenoid. I installed mine but would like pics of the wiring...

There are two pictures of the remote mount solenoid installed. One picture just shows the location of the solenoid, the other shows the wiring in more detail. I got my kit from summit so the wiring may be a little different depending on your solenoid. But in the detail picture, the thick cable on the left of the solenoid is the original power wire coming from the battery, the one on the right goes back to the starter. Same with the red power wires on the left, same ones that were mounted to the starter mounted solenoid to begin with. The small wire on the front is the ignition wire that controls the solenoid when teh key is turned. Hope that helps.
I am going to do this remote solenoid install myself as headers are heat soaking my starter. Question for you. Does the solenoid on the starter stay in place or is it removed.

no you are going to basically short it out... i mounted my selenoid on the passenger side fenderwall... all you have to do is pull the battery cable from the starter to the post on your selenoid.. I will try to find out the rest its been awhile since i done it....
