Loose spark plug wires

I was just playing around with my spark plug wires, I was planning to change the ignition rotor and distributer cap and so was taking em off and now it seems like when I put them back on, they're loose. Do you have to twist these on like with the distributer cap or is there something wrong with em.

If the wires look like they are in good condition, you could take some needle nose pliers and cinch down the metal clamps on the ends.
