Help with Headlights...

Ok, so I bought my super spiffy 82 Berlinetta today. I love it. I drove it to my job to show my friends, and much to my dismay discovered that my headlights don't work. At all.

I have marker lights, dash lights, turn signals. I checked ALL of my fuses, and I can't believe that all of the headlights went out at the same time.

Someone please throw me an idea, because I am leaning toward demonic posession, and where is a girl supposed to find an excorcist on a Friday night?

It could be the headlight switch itself. All of the parking lights and tail lights are on one contact inside the switch, and the headlights are on a seperate contact all by themselves. Go out to the parts store and buy yourself a test light, they are cheap. Unplug one of the headlights (you can get to the plug without removing the headlight itself), and see if there is power at the connector with the headlights on. If there is no power there, work your way back. Check for constant power at the relay, then check to see if there is power on the control side of the relay. You should be able to diagnose your problem with the info you collect from these simple tests.

Thanks!!

I had completely forgotten about the test-light option...I haven't owned a car in three years, and the last one was a vintage mustang, completely different beast. You rule, and deserve a cookie!!
