I was just driving...then nothing!

Hi, I'm very sorry, but this is not about my third gen. You see, I have a 1984 Monte Carlo, and one day when I was driving home the car just shut off, like I turned it off with the key. After that the ignition, the headlights, hazards, and horn quit working. Now,the guy who had the car before me wired the high beams to a switch on the floor, much like the ones in the old Chevy pickups, and the horn is wired to a button on the dash. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it might be. Again, I'm very sorry that this is not about my third gen, but I don't know of any websites like this for the Monte Carlo. Thanks.

Sounds like you blew a fuse or fuseable link..probably due the awesome wiring job that some else did?
