heat/ac control panel

Does anyone know of a source for heat/ac control panel components? The blower on my 92 quit working and after checking the motor and relay. I chased the problem back to the control panel. The plug that connects to the switch that looks like in controls the functions ie ac/heat/def/vent..... is partially melted!!! Anyone ever experience this? I need that switch and connector, does anyone have one they would like to sell or know where to get one.

Thanks
Mark

Mine did the same thing - the controller was actually fine, but the electrical plug from the dash fried itself. I actually got another plug (any kind with those type prongs inside will work), and carefully took the prongs from the other plug, and replaced in my burnt up prongs in the plug, then reconnected the wires together.

Yep thats exactly how I just fixed mine, what a pain. I paid $27 for the new connector and had to the same thing!! I swapped in the best pin from the old connector. You'd think for damn near $30 the part would work out of the box. I only paid $15 for a used ac/heat controller!! I did notice that the new connectors wire gauge was easily twice that of the original. Looks like a little too much current for those tiny wires.

I'd just go to a junkyard or something. You could get a small connector like that for next to nothing.

My Blower Quit too

How did you find that out. Just buy removing the AC Switch Panel?

Yep, but you'll probably need to remove the radio also, makes it a little easier.
