Need help!!
Hey guys,
I am interested in purchasing an '87 Camaro Z28 with the LG4 motor. I just came back from viewing it and noticed that the tach and oil gauge are not working. The owner said that it stop working all of a sudden, so he installed another stock tach (which was working in another Camaro) and still does not work. So, he put back the original.
Did anyone experience this, or does anyone know if it is an electrical issue or does it have something to do with the ignition system? Does the oil gauge have anything to do with the igniition system? Or could it be a ground?
I really appreciate some assistance in this, as I would like to purchase this car, but I want to know if this is a minor thing.
Thanks in advance,
Benny

more than likely someone changed the distributor or wires and knocked off those 2 seeing that they are right next to each other , the tach wire is white and is pluged in the distributor next to the pink wire , the oil is just under that on the back of the intake manifold with one tan wire
