losing power
ive went through the search feature and couldnt find any similiar problems. So im posting.
When i turn my lights on in my 86 berlinetta it kills the power to my gauges. The interior gauge lights come on, but all my gauges like oil pressure etc... quit working.
Another problem im having is when i step on the brakes my blinkers come on and stay constantly on until i let off the brake pedal.
Any solutions or reccomendations would be helpful. thanks

The guage problem is probably located in the cluster. The cluster "backlighting" and the power to the gauges all flow though the printed circuit on the back of the cluster. Could just as easily be in -or- on the cluster circuit boards as well.
As far as the blinkers / brakes,........... Sounds like a bad ground or a failing Light Module to me. If you have done recent work to your car make sure you didn't Pinch a ground wire putting everything back together. If there was no recent work - it's probably the Light Module !
