Turn lights on, fuel pump pulses ?
Situation:
I just got done putting my 89 IROC back together. Jacobs ignition, clifford alarm, batter relocate are the only electrical mods. I have everything hooked up save the windshield wiper motor and the hood latch sensor for the alarm. I turn the master power on (from remote on/off b/c of the battery relocate) turn off the alarm, turn the key to the one position, fuel pump pulses...here's the thing, if I open the door...fuel pump pulses again, or if I turn on the lights fuel pump pulses again. I beleive I have everything ground and everything seemingly works (radio, all lights etc...). I have no idea whats causing this.
Oh yeah the car won't start either
and I have 42psi, and spark.
Anyone know what can cause this fuel pump pulse issue, I assume it's a ground, but I don't know where I went wrong ?
Thanks in advance
Rob

well it sounds like u have some sort of a backfeed going on.. wut lights is it that cause the pump to pulse? interior? dash or dome? and u should double check fuel pressure because as little as 2 psi wrong can cause a no start.. i would try checking things like common grounds.. or common hots.. i know it sounds like hell but go through ur diagram for the alarm again.. especialy if u had to splice into the back of the fuse block.. the fuel pump is getting power from another circuit so try locating its wires in the areas where u had to splice for the alarm.. good luck electricity sucks
