anyone recommend a low cost mini-starter?

I have a 406 with a T-56 so I had to use one of the newer factory "mini-starters"...
I have 11.1 compression so it only cranks over real good when the motor is cool. If it runs for 10 minutes or more it will crank slowly and will run out of power real fast! I originally used the starter that came out of the 1988 Camaro doner car and when that starter died I got a Checker Auto Parts unit.
I have a rear mounted battery but I am running twin 1-gauge cables so it shouldn't have a problem with amperage.
Can anyone recommend a heavy duty starter? factory would be okay (trying to save a few bux) if there is a part number I am un-aware of.
Thanks

Transmission: under rated for this application
Axle/Gears: also under rated
I`m using a summit nippondenso style, $145 and it`s been cranking over my 14.1 bbc no problem with a relocated battery and 1 gauge welding wire.
