Transmission: T-5 , 4 speed auto
Axle/Gears: 3.42 , ?
FUEL PUMP ????
i have thought about this for while , do not know if its normal or not . i notice once in a while my fuel pump comes on when the car is shut down . do not have a fuel leak that i am aware of . is this normal ??? thanks uncle tom .

By "shutdown" do you mean key off and out of the car? If so, could be a faulty oil pressure sending unit. Mine went bad in my 1992 TBI car, and enabled the fuel pump to always run - killed the battery after 2-3 days and drove me crazy until finally one night really late I heard the pump running. Try a new OPSU - $28 at Autozone - located either at back on intake, driver side of distributor, on china wall .... or it's directly above oil filter.

hey , thanks . i was going to change oil/fuel pressure sensor on next oil change . oil press. has been goofy for the last year , i see from the wires diagram how they are tied together . i am not too old to ask and learn . will post how it turns out . thanks again . uncle tom .
